Summer Rain

My toes touch the fields,
And I am with you now,
Golden fields and daisy chains,
Fill our lovers’ lazy days.
Your green eyes burn me,
Brilliant as the sun.
I love you through heavy thunder,
Draw you near in summer rain,
We soar when the sky is blue,
Love with each raindrop on our skin.
Detailed with joy,
‘Til winter skies come,
When we long,
For green eyes,
And warm rain.
.............
Summer rain is falling on me,
Need to stop this fading,
My toes touch the field,
Your ghost with me now.
Daisy chains and fields of gold
Don't love me like you used to.
Each cold drop on my skin
Erodes with memories.
Crumbling, I am falling.
Thunder breaks meIn two,
divided from you.
The broken skies are grey
Darkened by your leaving.
My fingers run through grass
Made wet with tears.
..............
Summer rain is falling.
Tormentor, it caresses
With visions of your kiss
The lightness of your touch
And golden in your hair.
Drip, drop beating pain,
Divulging secrets
Kept too long.
Heaven pours.
Dissolved I reminisce
With daisy chains,
Dream green eyes.
Wait, wait for sun, for sky
For love and weep
Summer Rain.
