Georgia O'Keefe

The amazing work of Georgia O' Keefe. Her use of colour and the soft shapes she creates are truely gorgeous. A great fan of her work I aspire too such fluidity. A women in a man's world as she was, she made her her femininity her strength - each flower a reminder.

The rest of the series

These photos were taken in the early morning so the effect seen at the top here is where the sunlight has reached a gap in the trees and hit the mist so hard it gives the appearance that a great ball of light is floating amongst the trees. Its almost dreamlike

This photo has also been given interesting light effects by the mist - due to the moisture in the air the light has made circles on the film, behind the tree it almost appears to have a waterfall.

This photo shows the effects of dappling on stone.

This is the path away form my house, the heat this week makes it appear like the dusty tracks you see in old movies of the states, somehow the apple trees add to this. it reminds me of Anne of Green Gables.

Photos - Forest

Just a photo I shot of the forest at the back of my house. I am currently dabbling in photography. I have had no teaching so its a bit hit and miss but i was pleased with this series. Here's the best I'll post the others in a following post.
